Driver tickets:
I want you to create a DFD to analyze this situation.
Here is the information:
When a policeman gives a driver a ticket (2 copies) he retains a copy of the ticket that is entered into the system.
The data involved is:
Driver data (license number, name, address)
Ticket data(ticket number (preprinted), ticket type, ticket date and time, location, fine and there are slots to hold information about the date of payment, the pleas, the trial date and the court if the ticket is appealed, as well as the verdict)
Officer data (badge number and name)
Court data (court idno, court name, court address)
If the driver pays the ticket he sends in one copy along with the payment and the file is updated with a plea of guilty and the payment and date.
If the driver decides to appeal the ticket a copy is returned with a check mark that says the driver wants to appeal. The request is sent to the court. The court contacts the driver with a court date.
After the court date, the verdict is sent to the police and the information is entered. If the driver is found guilty a thirty-day time limit is given to send in payment.
If a ticket is not paid or a court date is not requested within 30 days, a warning notice is sent.
If the driver who goes to court does not pay within 30 days a warning is sent.
If the ticket is not paid after a warning, a stop is put on license renewal.
