Hello STEM Students,

The STEM Starter Academy Program will be going on its first Company Tour on Friday, October 16th from 11:00 am
to 4:00pm to Lockheed Martin. Below is a brief description of what Lockheed does:

Lockheed Martin Sippican specializes in naval cat and mouse, focusing on military intelligence and defense systems for
submarines and naval surface ships. Areas of operation include Sea-Air Systems (expendable probes, oceanographic
instrumentation, communications, submarine antennas, and Stinger Missile fuzes), Countermeasures (chaff, infrared, and
acoustic decoys), and Underwater Vehicles (self-propelled acoustic and anti-submarine training targets).

Space is limited to 18 students and we still have some space available. To attend this company visit you must be a
US citizen and bring a valid photo id on the day of the tour to check in.

If you are interested in attending this company tour please email me ASAP so I can add you to the list. Space is on a
first come first served basis. You MUST register with me by Monday morning (Oct. 12th) as we need to send a list of
attendees to Lockheed by the end of day on Monday. We will car pool from BCC in Fall River and will leave around
10:30am on Friday morning.

Have a great day,

Meghan
